Leather Belt
If I had to create a leather belt with eight symbols of my life on it, they would probably symbolize my accomplishments. I would probably fit some of my athletic achievements on there, such as being a championship runner up. I would probably add weapons, such as guns and knives. These are all important to my life.

Yosemite National Park
In Yosemite National Park, there are a lot of things a person can do if they're on vacation. Some of the things they could do consist of backpacking, biking, bird watching, camping, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, picnicking, rock climbing, and water activities. You could drive to Yosemite, though it is a very long trip. You would probably need to bring a hooded rain jacket, cargo shorts/pants, extra pair of shoes, and lots of water.
Hawaii
A place in the United States I would like to visit is Hawaii. To get there, I would probably need to fly over the Pacific Ocean. Hawaii is a well known vacation spot, and has lots of delicious food. Hawaii is usually fairly warm, which also makes it a very nice area to visit. If you were to take a vacation to Hawaii, you would probably want to bring swimsuits, long pants, and sunglasses. file:///Users/jamesedwardpennington/Desktop/Unknown-1.jpegfile:///Users/jamesedwardpennington/Desktop/Unknown.jpeg
Jon Krakauer
Jon Krakauer was born on April 12, 1954 in Brookline, Massachusetts. He grew up in Oregon, where he began mountain climbing at the age of eight. He graduated from Hampshire College in 1976, and worked as a carpenter and a commercial fisherman in Colorado, the Pacific Northwest, and Alaska. In 1996 he managed to reach the top of Mt. Everest, though five of his teammates died on the way down from the mountain. Krakauer wrote about the experience in his book, "Into Thin Air."
Into the Wild
In english class we are about to start reading Jon Krakauer's book, "Into the Wild." It is about a young man named Christopher McCandless taking a massive journey into the Alaskan Wilderness. He was an American adventurer, but on his trip to Alaska he brought very little equipment with him. Christopher grew up in Annandale, Virginia. He graduated in May, 1990 from Emory University, and completely stopped communicating with his family. On September 6, 1992 McCandless was found dead in an abandoned bus in Alaska. Early in his journey, McCandless changed his legal name to Alexander Supertramp. He survived approximately 119 days in the Alaskan Wilderness, and he kept a journal.
